The Bootleg Files Reaches Milestone

The Bootleg Files, the weekly column from Film Threat contributing editor and OFCS member Phil Hall, has reached its 350th edition, making it the internet's longest-running weekly film history column.

The column discusses productions whose troubled histories have limited their availability to unauthorized releases. Appearing every Friday since its creation in 2003, Hall's series has studied the full range of movie history, from 1894 Edison-produced experiments to modern YouTube mash-ups.

The landmark 350th edition covers Joseph Losey’s rarely seen 1951 remake of Fritz Lang's M and can be read here.
