No nominations for best score??
No Toy Story 3 for best screenplay and best picture?
No Michelle Williams and Tilda Swinton?
No True Grit for best cinematography?
Hmmm... lots of questions.

Didn't you have more categories? These nominations were expected, not so different from what we have seen so far in the awards season. And DESCPICABLE ME in Best Animation?? Worst animation...

I think this is the best list of nominees I can remember in all my years of voting. Well done, colleagues. (Of course it helped to have a pool of such clear-cut outstanding films and performances to choose from. Still and all, we got it right. Now we just need to make the right final choices...)

Why was Toy Story 3 added as a best picture nominee? As an OFCS member, I really hope a valid explanation is forthcoming. I really hope we didn't bend the rules to include the film.

Oh, ok, some kind of missing ballot thing. Not scandalous at all, no matter how it looks. Never mind. ;)

Zzzz.... kudos to Ruffalo and Kim Hye-ja. Otherwise, wake me up when awards season is over.

No nomination for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows for Best Cinematography? Fail...

Thank you, Tulio, for mentioning Dale Dickey. I've been a professional "theatre generalist" since 1980, and Dale was a fellow student and apprentice in college days. I'm as proud of her work as I've always been, and thought she was spectacular in WINTER'S BONE. I wish these awards lists [including this list of winners posted today] reflected the critical love she's been getting in reviews... she's a great person, but my respect for her work has always been first and foremost -- the "great person" thing is just so much gravy. [and yet the banner for this site features a picture of her. Go figure.]
