No Star Trek? C'mon.

I agree Candi-STAR TREK can replace UP IN THE AIR as far as I am concerned. It's flat out better in every way and doesn't grovel for an award.

No Sam Rockwell by Moon? OFCS disapointed me this year for this...

Editing:
Avatar (-) Steve R. Moore, John Refoua & Stephen Rivkin

Who is Steve R. Moore and why is he not listed among the editors on IMDB's Avatar listing or the film's credits, but James Cameron is?
Just curious.

And no Sam Rockwell?

The total lack of Moon noms is a shame and George Clooney instead of Sam Rockwell? C'mon!

For what it's worth, it's not like we have a big conspiracy to snub any nominees. Ballots were counted, and I'm sure that some of these totals ended up being damn close.

Thanks.

Just big studios films, bad studio films. I saw indi film called "SERBIAN SCARS" in theaters and I can tell you that film is one of the best films for me also I know that film was one of the top contenders for 67th Golden Globes and now is going for 82nd Oscars so my pick will be

1.Serbian Scars
2.Star Trek
3.Avatar
4.The Blind Site
5.Sherlock Holmes

Best Actor

1.Vladimir Rajcic from Serbian Scars
2.Morgan Freeman from Invictus
3.Brad Pitt from I Basterds
4. Jeff Bridges from Crazy Heart
5.Robert De Niro

This is my pick and I know many people who agree with me......

the cinematography nominations are very weird. it's like all kick ass guy movies (with one drama).

no BRIGHT STAR? no NINE? no WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE? even if you don't like those movies it's really hard to argue with the cinematography in them.

but i hate it when people are super negative on the internet so i would like to say that it's SO great to see TILDA SWINTON finally recognized. Genius performance. and much better than whoever is going to win the Oscar this year ;)

"grovel for an award."

Sigh. Whatever.

Great nominees, but I wonder why it seems like nobody else thought that Nic Cage's performance in BL:POCNO was good enough to nominate. Hell, I'd put it in my top ten performances of the decade.

I noticed they nominated District 9 for almost every category but score...and it is one of the most highly rated and popular scores out there! It's a brilliant score that worked with the film in every aspect.

No love for "Un Prophète" on foreign film?

Isn't Avatar an animated feature as well?
